Misty was born into a hard live. Her mother would beat her if she did the slightest thing wrong and would often leave Misty alone for long periods of time, no matter how young she was. When she was four years old, Misty was taken away from her mother and sent to live with her wealthy aunt and uncle, on their horse farm.
Misty soon discoverer her love for horses. She would spend at much time as she could with the horses because that was the only time when she was happy. They gave her riding lessons and soon found out that she was a very good rider and the ponies always seemed to listen to her. She had a horse who she really seemed to like, so they let Misty ride her and she could control her even better. She could also ride some of the other big horses.
Her aunt and uncle were impressed by her ability with the horses, but they didn't really like having her around. She tended to get in the way and was difficult to deal with sometimes. They sent an application in when she was six and, the next year, she got in.

Misty has never spoken one word in her life, although she can whinny and snort, and do other horse sounds. She has a stuffed horse who she usually carries around and will only set down when she is with real horses. She is very shy and timid. She is afraid of yelling and sudden movement. She is not very competitive and doesn't care about being better then other people, but she is very eagerd to please and always tries her best.
